Hands On - 'Cruising the Canyon'

This Job (approximately 4 minutes to get the effect we wanted) was mostly done using the density brush masking.
Task... remove the sky...keep the clouds...transparency of the sail...put canyon behind

 

Interface shown on Mac OS (GUI between Windows and Mac may differ)

Work in progress...multiple use of the brush masking (veil and add mode all over the sky and the sail)... the brush in undo mode to remove unwanted remaining spots in the sea.
Final... Composite...

We left a few light clouds on the top-right of the sail on purpose to show how the transparency remain !
